Privacy Notice
Last updated: 1 October 2026
This notice explains how Biotization Ltd. (“Biotization”, “we”) collects and uses personal data when you visit biotization.com, including our welcome page and geni.biotization.com, talk to GENI, our AI guide, or leave your details with us at our stand at a conference or event. We have kept it short. If anything is unclear, write to us at info@biotization.com.
1. Who we are
Biotization Ltd., an Israeli company (company no. 517148664), of SouthUP, Sha’ar HaNegev, Israel, is responsible for your personal data (the “controller”). You can reach us at info@biotization.com.
2. What we collect
When you leave your details — on the tablet at our stand, on your phone after scanning our QR code, or on our website — we collect:
- your name, position or job title, company or organisation, and country;
- your email address and/or your WhatsApp or mobile number, and how you prefer us to reach you;
- anything you choose to write in the message field;
- the choices you make in the experience: the role or roles closest to yours, up to two priorities, and what you would like to do next (for example, explore the full journey or meet our team); and
- your consent choices, and the date and time of your submission.
When you talk to GENI, we also collect the conversation: what you write or say to her, and her replies.
When you visit our website, we receive basic technical information sent by your browser, such as your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you view and the time of your visit, through server logs and the cookies described in section 9.
Please do not share sensitive information, such as information about health, in the message field or with GENI. We do not need it.
You do not have to give us your details or talk to GENI. Without your details, we cannot follow up with you.
3. GENI, our AI guide
GENI is an artificial-intelligence assistant, not a person. She answers questions about Biotization and guides you to the information most relevant to your role. Her answers are generated automatically and can be incomplete or wrong; our team will confirm anything that matters before you rely on it.
GENI works only from what you write or say to her. She does not recognise you from your face or voice, and she does not analyse your emotions from them. When we call her empathetic, we mean that she is written to respond to what you tell her with care.
GENI is provided to us under licence by our technology provider, which runs her on our behalf using a third-party AI model. Your conversations are not used to train general-purpose AI models.
4. How we use it, and why we are allowed to
We do not sell your personal data. We do not make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects by automated means. GENI tailors what you see and what she says to the choices you make and the questions you ask, and nothing more.
5. Who we share it with
- Service providers who act on our behalf and under contract: the provider that licenses and runs GENI for us, and the AI model it uses to generate her answers; the providers who host our pages and forms; the security service that checks that a form is sent by a person and not by an automated program; the service that sends our emails; the scheduling tool you use if you choose to book a meeting with us; and the tools we use to store our contacts. If you choose WhatsApp, your messages with us also pass through WhatsApp, a Meta service, under its own terms.
- Where you ask to be connected with them, our authorised distribution or commercial partners in your country.
- Our professional advisers, and public authorities where the law requires it.
- A buyer of, or investor in, our business, under confidentiality, if that ever becomes relevant.
6. International transfers
We are based in Israel, and our service providers may store or process data in other countries, including countries in the European Union and the United States. The European Commission recognises Israel as providing an adequate level of data protection. Where we transfer personal data from the EU or the UK to a country that does not have that recognition, we use appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses and, for the UK, the UK addendum to them.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your details and your conversations with GENI while we are in contact about your enquiry, and for up to 36 months after our last contact with you, because decisions in fresh-produce supply chains often take more than one growing season, unless a business relationship develops (in which case we keep them for as long as that relationship needs) or the law requires us to keep them longer. If you ask us to stop contacting you, we keep only what we need to respect that request.
8. Your rights
You may ask to see the personal data we hold about you, including your conversations with GENI, and to correct or delete it. Depending on where you live, you may also ask us to restrict or stop using it, or to give it to you or to someone else in a portable form. Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time; this does not affect what we did before. Every update email we send includes a way to unsubscribe.
To exercise any of these rights, write to info@biotization.com. We will reply within the time the law requires. You may also complain to Israel’s Privacy Protection Authority or, if you are in the EU or the UK, to your local data protection authority, although we would appreciate the chance to deal with your concern first.
9. Cookies
Our pages use cookies and similar technologies that they need in order to work, such as keeping your conversation with GENI going as you move through a page, and the security check on our forms uses technical checks of your browser to confirm that a person is sending the form. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. If you choose to book a meeting, the scheduling tool loads only at that point and may set its own cookies, as described in its own privacy notice. If we ever add analytics or advertising cookies, we will ask for your consent first where the law requires it.
10. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, and we require our service providers to do the same. On the tablets at our stand, the screen resets after each visitor, so no earlier visitor’s details or conversation remain visible, and the browser does not store or suggest what earlier visitors typed. No system is completely secure, but we work to keep the risk low.
11. Children
Our website and our stand are for business visitors. They are not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
12. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed, and if a change is significant we will tell you.
